Bard on the Beach is a Shakespeare festival held in giant tents in Vanier Park, overlooking picturesque English Bay.

The main theatre tent is open sided behind the stage, making for an outdoor feel to the performance without the threat of rain, and giving scenic views of the ocean and the sunset.

Particularly worth making a note of are the "special" dates where the performance is combined with another attraction. These include a barbecue combined with viewing the Symphony of Fire International Fireworks Competition, and a wine tasting where you can consume as much wine and nibbles as you like before or after the performance.
